Loyalty Sunday - Oct. 27, 2024

Loyalty Sunday is a time when we come together as a family of faith and make a financial pledge to the ministry of Concordia. Through this pledge, we are making a promise to return to God a portion of what He has given us financially for the work of His mission and ministry here. It is incredibly moving to watch our family of faith come forward to make their pledge in this meaningful and enduring tradition we share. On October 27, during the gathering of our offerings at all three services, Pastor Tucker will invite everyone to bring their pledges to the front of the sanctuary as a visible sign of our trust in God as well as our commitment to each other. The pledges we make help form the foundation for our ministry budget for 2025.

Pastor Tucker shares the meaning of Loyalty Sunday at Concordia and encouragement to consider tithing.

Chad and Melissa share ways their tithing journey has evolved over the years.

Members Dan and Lita share their experience in tithing over the years and the joy that comes on Loyalty Sunday.

Phil shares how his faith foundation in tithing helped him through other difficult life circumstances.

Tithing

When you tithe, you’re trusting God with your finances.

Tithing is a biblical principle. God calls us to give the first 10% of our income back to Him. We’ve seen God provide abundantly in our church, and we know He will provide abundantly for you and your family when you put Him first in your finances. In fact, it’s the one area in the Bible where God tells you to test Him.

Generosity

We give because God first gave to us.

God gives to us out of His love for us. He gives us good things we do not deserve and could never earn, like grace, forgiveness, and above all, His own Son. In all this, He calls us to give as we’ve been given - freely, joyfully, and sacrificially. Consider giving above and beyond your tithe with an offering to one of these causes.
